Martin Booth is Chief Finance Officer at Enable, with responsibility for leading the central services departments of the organisation including Finance, People, Technology & Change and Legal.
Martin brings extensive experience from across the public, private and third sectors to the role, having most recently served as Executive Director of Finance for Scotland’s largest local authority, Glasgow City Council, for over 6 years, following other roles within Glasgow as Director of Finance at Glasgow Life and Chief Executive of Jobs and Business Glasgow. Prior to this, Martin worked for the Convention of Scottish Local Authorities (COSLA), where he led on negotiations with the Scottish Government over financial settlements and drafted the Concordat. Martin was also Managing Director of Isoplan and previously worked in management consultancy for IBM and PwC. Martin started his career as a trainee accountant with Glasgow District Council and worked for a number of local authorities before being part of the senior management team that opened HMP Kilmarnock.
Martin previously served as a Trustee of Enable, and currently chairs the Audit Committee of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow in a non-executive capacity.
