Mari has worked with Enable since 2005, initially in a frontline care and support role, and progressing her social care career with the charity. Mari was appointed Regional Manager in 2016, and has been Director of Enable Cares since January 2023. In this role, she directs a team of 2,200 Personal Assistants who support 1,100 people across Scotland to live independently in the community of their choice through Enable's internationally recognised PA Model of human rights-driven self-directed support.
Mari has a BSc(Hons) in Psychology from the University of Stirling, and SVQ4 qualifications in Health & Social Care and Leadership & Management. She has also undertaken a number of voluntary roles, including supporting children with autism and young people with mental health issues, and chairing the Board of Castlehill Community Trust. She graduated with distinction with an MBA from Strathclyde Business School in November 2023.
