Margaret Morton

Margaret is Director of Strategy and Development at Enable, supporting the strategic direction of the organisation and its strategic development priorities as it continues on its significant growth trajectory. Over the last ten years, Enable has doubled its scale and impact.

Joining Enable in 2024, Margaret brings a wealth of transferable skills and experience gained over 30 years in a variety of executive, non-executive and advisory roles across the private, public and not-for-profit sectors with the drive and desire to make a difference.

She previously enjoyed successful careers in law, latterly as a partner of a Scottish law firm, in philanthropy, as Head of Fundraising at Barnardo’s Scotland, and in venture philanthropy, as Head of Investor Relations at Inspiring Scotland, before joining the University of Glasgow, initially in the role of Chief of Staff in the College of Medical, Veterinary & Life Sciences and latterly as XPRIZE Lead.

With a Bachelor of Laws Honours Degree and a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the University of Glasgow, Margaret also leads Enable’s Legal Services and Enable Trustee Service.
