Richard Hamer

As Enable’s Programme Director, Richard is responsible for ensuring the successful integration of organisations into Enable. He also leads the recruitment, learning and development, communications and marketing and business development functions.

Richard has worked in and with the Scottish charitable sector for more than 30 years, mostly in the field of disability. He brings the skills, experience and flexibility he developed as a partner in a consulting group to his roles within Enable. 

His first programme with Enable began in 2017 and delivered the digital transformation of the frontline social care teams. He subsequently developed the organisation’s data function.

Richard has a strong interest in law and human rights and sits on the Equalities Law Sub-committee of the Law Society of Scotland.
