Supporting Neurodiversity Celebration Week

DJ1

We’re proud to be supporting Neurodiversity Celebration Week 2025

This week is all about challenging misconceptions, breaking down barriers, and celebrating the incredible strengths and talents of neurodivergent people and highlighting the important work of our teams across our 3 pillars; Enable Cares, Enable Works and Enable Communities.

Neurodiversity Week is a global initiative that aims to challenge stereotypes and misconceptions about neurodiversity.  We remain dedicated to supporting neurodiverse people. We will be highlighting how we do this in a number of ways including:

  • Through our youth groups, self-advocacy forums and local area coordination in Enable Communities, we support 300 young people and adults to build confidence, make new friends and have new experiences.

  • Hear from Kirsty Kennedy-Hyman, co-chair of Enable’s Self-Advocacy Forum, about advocating for change through the Learning Disability, Autism and Neurodiversity Bill (LDAN Bill) and how the Bill aims to protect, and champion the rights of people with learning disabilities and neurodivergent people.

  • Championing inclusion through music with Enable Works’ Tune In programme which combines electronic music activities with employability skills - where participants learn DJing, music production and event organising.

  • Highlighting our Breaking Barriers programme, enabling young people who have learning disabilities the opportunity to attend one of the leading business schools in the UK, achieve an accredited qualification, and gain real work experience with some of the country’s largest employers.

Together, let’s create a more inclusive world that understands and champions neurodiversity in all its forms.
