BOOK YOUR PLACE TO JOIN EUROPE IN ACTION CONFERENCE
Enable will host Europe in Action Conference between 7-9 May at the University of Strathclyde's Technology and Innovation Centre (TIC) and a reception at Kelvingrove's Art Gallery and Museum.
This year, we are celebrating 70 years of campaigning for an equal society and as part of this, we are hosting Europe in Action in partnership with Inclusion Europe.
European Learning Disability experts will come to Glasgow in May as part of an important national and international conference for action on equity, diversity and inclusion.
The Conference will take place during Scottish Learning Disability Week 2024.
As the host of this momentous international event, Enable will welcome organisations from 39 European countries, who will share learning and discuss pioneering approaches to improve inclusion for 20 million disabled people throughout Europe.
You will be joining key stakeholders from across Europe including Scottish and UK Governments, influential members from Scottish civil society, public sector agencies, business, academia, and leaders from the third sector.
You can expect to be a part of the conversation and engagement as we work to:
- Bring together a broad international audience of stakeholders and influencers to drive change to advance the human rights of people who have a learning disability in Scotland and across Europe.
- Demonstrate Scotland’s leadership on ground-breaking innovations to support people who have a learning disability to key decision makers at home and across Europe.
- Celebrate and disseminate learning from pioneering approaches to independent living for people who have a learning disability from countries across the globe.
Since 1954 through to 2024, Enable will continue to build on the legacy of our five founding families and be a leading voice within the disability movement as we believe in an equal society where everyone has the right to live, work and participate as active and respected citizens in the communities of their choice.
