About The Role

27 hours per week (Waking Night shift)

Let's introduce you to Billy.

Billy is a young adult who has moved into his own flat. This has helped him realise his dream to live as independently as possible. Billy is looking for a staff member to join his team.

Billy has Prada Willi Syndrome, a condition which affects his appetite and as such requires a lot of support around food to ensure he is maintaining the correct food and fluid intake to stay healthy and well. This condition can take over a person's life and Billy is keen that it does not.

Billy’s short-term goals are getting back on track with managing his condition and engaging in his usual activities, Billy enjoys walking, swimming, and going to the gym.

Billy loves animals and any outing involving them. When he used to live at home, he had lots of pet fish in an aquarium. Billy would like to one day have pets in his new flat - maybe more fish or a dog, who knows!

Billy enjoys time in his own environment building lego, playing cards, using wool to make pompoms. He also loves to spend time on his laptop watching films like Harry Potter.

Billy would love to go to New York for his 21st Birthday.

Billy likes structure and routine, and this will support him to thrive in his new environment and make the most out of life.

This is why Billy needs you! Will you bring your best so that Billy can live his best life?

The Best in You Brings Out the Best in Me

The people we support have many varied interests and hobbies and have many of the same dreams and aspirations as we do; they just too often do not get the opportunity to experience these same opportunities. A career with ENABLE Scotland is as rewarding as it is diverse, Personal Assistants at their best have the potential to truly bring out the best in the people we support.
